SHINE ON: A/W'13 Sparkle and Shine Trend

It's Autumn going on Winter, the Selfridges Christmas Store is open, scarily enough there are only 15 weekends left until Christmas and we are looking at dusting off last years party wear to match this seasons new Sparkle and Shine trend.

It's easy to save your sequins and bling for Christmas but why wait till then? We are talking about mixing it up and throwing an embellished jacket over your fave band tee with jeans and boots or maybe try sequined skirt with a baggy knit with tights and boots. Red Bull Music Academy at Nottingham Carnival 2013

Now we all look for something to do over the weekend and with the sunshine brings us many exciting weekends! Nottingham are hosting another Caribbean Carnival on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August at The Forest Recreation Ground, a successful Festival which has been running since 1999.

This FREE WEEKEND is going to be a very colourful affair with cheerful costumes, parades galore, workshops to keep busy and stalls to browse and shop! Also an array of worldwide culinary delights as well as bands playing and a Fun fair.. We all know Notts hosts a very good Fun Fair and if you don't make it down to London for the Notting Hill Carnival, just keep it closer to home and invite all of your friends and family.

The Great Gatsby Is Here!

After waiting for what feels like 2 years for this movie to come out it is finally here! We are pulling out our posh frocks and shining up our sequins for a full on 1920's flap around with excitement. There is a lot of hype around this movie and here at COW we all feel like it is all absolutely worth it.

The cinematic genius Baz Luhrman seems to have definitely captured the heart of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1920's American novel. Gathering together a cast of the finest including Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire to keep your eyes busy then Mr Jay Z scoring it with the star studded soundtrack featuring his bootilicious wife Beyonce, Andre 3000, The XX, Bryan Ferry, Lana Del Ray, Florence and the Machine and many more to pleasure your ears. It's an all round no brainer really..
We will be there with feathers on, literally, for the release Friday 10th May!
