BLOGGERS CHOICE: SARA WAISTE

The beautiful, ambre haired, boho babe that is Sara Waiste came to visit us at our Manchester Studio and made a selection of her favourite vintage items from We Are Cow. Being a vintage lover and connoisseur of style and fashion we were so happy when she agreed to come and rummage through our basement full of vintage ready to be shot and uploaded to our website.

Our in house Photographer Lucie Crewdson was on hand to take some gorgeous images of Sara wearing her chosen items. It was so good to see how much fun Sara had too with rails and rails of one off items, we'd almost go as far as to say there were definitely 'kid in a candy shop' vibes going on and we loved it. It's so nice to see someone really appreciate all of our stock and our work put into making We Are Cow online a success.

We asked Sara a few questions about her style, love for vintage and where she sees Sara Waiste in the future and heres what she said:

HEY SARA! THANKS FOR COMING IN TO SEE US. DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING IN MIND THAT YOU WANTED BEFORE YOU CAME IN?

I've actually been on a hunt for the perfect boho winter coat for months now, I'd bought a couple but didn't feel like they were 'the one' so I was hoping I'd find a treasure when I came in, but I wasn't expecting to find such an amazing one as yours!

WHAT DID YOU THINK TO THE COW PRODUCTS ONLINE?

Good, a good selection of stuff and I really like the model choice, the girl with the blonde hair looks awesome.

WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN THESE PARTICULAR ITEMS?

I've got a kind of boho hippy vibe to my look, so I wanted to choose products that reflected my own personal style!

YOUR STYLE IS MOSTLY VINTAGE AND YOU RUN YOUR OWN VINTAGE COMPANY, SO WHAT IS IT ABOUT VINTAGE THAT KEEPS YOU SO EXCITED?

The thrill when you find some AMAZING one-of-kind piece of clothing you've never seen before that looks like it was made for you, is kind of like an addiction for me, I've always bought vintage and I've shopped in charity shops since since I was little. It's that feeling that you've got a piece of clothing that no one else has, it's different, and as someone who has never wanted to look like the same as anyone else I love that.

YOU HAVE SUCH A HUGE FOLLOWING ON INSTAGRAM NOW, WHAT IS IT ABOUT YOUR LOOK THAT KEEPS PEOPLE INTERESTED?

I honestly have no idea? Maybe it's Herschy (my fluffy cat) that everyone loves! I've always been myself, and styled everything my own way and people must like that I guess!

WHO DO YOU LOOK UP TO FOR STYLE INSPIRATION?

Definitely fellow bloggers, tumblr is a great one for inspiration and Stevie Nicks and Mary Kate Olsen are perfect boho babes.

WHO ARE YOUR MOST FAVOURITE FASHION BLOGGERS?

Ooh that's such a tough one! Helena for sure (www.bellsfashion.blogspot.com) she's a rainbow mega babe and so inspiring, Ashley from Purse in Boots has the best grungey boho style (http://pursenboots.blogspot.co.uk/) New ones I've recently discovered and love are Leticia (http://bohemiansbanquet.blogspot.co.uk/) and Muzzy Stardust (http://velvetgoldmine.pl/) And my Australian boho babe faves are Caitlin (http://celestial-calling.blogspot.co.uk/) Taylor (http://onyx-eye.blogspot.co.uk/) and Leana (coconutlemonandlime.blogspot.com) Omg there's LOADS more I love I want to put them all down but I will be here all day!

HOW DO YOU LIKE THE NEW WEBSITE?

Love it! A lot cleaner, brighter and way easier to navigate, and so much more to read and get inspiration from, the blog, trends and inspiration pages are brilliant!

DO YOU HAVE ANY STYLE TIPS FOR US THIS AW'13?

All about the layers…and the faux fur gilets, i'm obsessed with them at the moment!

WHERE DO YOU SEE SARA WAISTE IN 5 YEARS TIME?

I'd love to be working in my own studio and have a team working for me, expanding my label, and my vintage shop might even be a real shop? Would love to still be blogging away too, hopefully having bought lots more beautiful vintage clothes throughout the years! And maybe with another fluffy cat too...

Keep up with more news from Sara and if you do anything today, make sure you follow her blog and instagram so you don't miss any of Sara's perfect style!

COW X Kayla Hadlington...

We are lucky enough to be working with a few really great Fashion Bloggers from all over the Country and Europe at the moment but we now have one of those said bloggers working with us in our Birmingham store! The lovely, fashionable, outfit post princess Kayla Hadlington is a new member of our team and by the looks of things she is loving her new role, which we may have turned into official COW model for all of the new, exciting pieces that go out onto the shop floor everyday!!

We already followed her Blog and Tumblr and we love to see how much COW Kayla already owned so it is great to see the ways she styles up all of the pieces to suit her own style! Hopefully she is enjoying the role as much as we are enjoying having her!

Here are some of our favourite looks so far but keep posted on her posts here...

Gemma Rose Breger - Knows Wear It's From?

As you know we have teamed up with some of the hottest Fashion Bloggers from around the Country to find out what they think about COW and to see how they style up the COW items that they have either purchased or been sent as gifts from us.

We had the privilege to speak with Gemma Rose Breger who is a Fashion Stylist and blogger of Wear Is It From?. We let her choose some of her favourite pieces from our online shop to dress up to the nines with a super splash of her fun, personal style and notorious crazy shoe collection!

Read more about Gemma below, how she became a stylist, what she loves about vintage and how she likes to mix things up..

Gemma Rose Breger - Fashion Blogger and Celebrity Stylist
WEAR IS IT FROM?

NAME:
Gemma Rose Breger

OCCUPATION:
Fashion Stylist

HOW DID YOU BECOME A STYLIST?

"I studied Fashion at Leeds University, then I went travelling around the world with a pitt stop in New York where I worked at New York Fashion Week, working in Fashion PR and for Ted Baker. I came home and worked as a Style Advisor at Topshop for about 4 years and then left to become a Freelance Stylist which I have been doing now for about 3 years."

WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING JOB YOU HAVE DONE?

"I styled Britney Spears when she came to London for her birthday. The outfit I dressed her in received positive press which was pretty exciting! I recently styled the contestants for the X Factor which was exhausting but brilliant. The panic of an outfit change at 7.50pm when the shoe goes live at 8p, can be stressful but also taught me a lot and was a brilliant experience to be a part of."

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT VINTAGE?

"The best thing about vintage is the story behind every piece... Who wore it before me, where were they going, what accessories did they wear with it?!"

DO YOU USE A LOT OF VINTAGE IN YOUR STYLING AND IF SO, HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT PIECES?

"I try to incorporate vintage pieces into shoots often. It's more about calling loads of different pieces in for a shoot and then working out on the day what works best with the whole look."

WHO IS YOUR OWN STYLE INSPIRATION?

"My Grandma.. She lives up in Glasgow but I get so excited about going home and raiding her wardrobe with her. She is still so cool, even at the age of 86, she wears leather trousers, jumpsuits, and shops in Topshop! The other day I got a notification telling me that she's just started following me on twitter!! How does she even know what Twitter is!?!"

WHICH NEWEST S/S13 TREND ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT?

"I am most excited for the Monochrome trend.. I've always been a huge black and white fan (inspired by my love for Minnie Mouse, the original style icon obviously!) and it being a big trend for SS13 makes it easier to find wild monochrome pieces on the high street."

AND FINALLY.. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT COW VINTAGE?

"I love the choice.. it's so good to finally have a vintage online store with this many items to scroll through. It's a great website too, very clear and easy to use. From the pieces you sent to me I love the floral jumpsuit! It is so comfortable and I've been dressing it up and down for all weather! I really love the fun floral skirt and tie dye print tee. I wear those together to mix up the clashing prints, which is also a huge trend this S/S13."
