JAWS JAWS JAWSSS X WE ARE COW

Our photographer in the field Richard went to Beacons festival a couple of weekends ago and met up, chatted and snapped the Brummie boys from JAWS.
These guys are going on a UK tour in September and have already been featured on BBC introducing stage at Reading & Leeds as well as a host of other festivals and in the word of the NME, they are producing 'DreamySurf, Synth, Indie, Beach, Pop'

All photography by Richard.

HEY ALEX, CONNOR, EDDY AND JAKE AKA, JAWS.

HOW WAS THE REST OF YOUR BEACONS FESTIVAL, DID YOU GET A CHANCE TO CATCH MANY OTHER BANDS?
We didn’t stick around for long, but we saw Melodys Echo Chamber which was pretty cool!  We saw Wolf Alice too and the band that was on before us.

YOU PLAYED THE BBC INTRODUCING STAGE AT READING & LEEDS THIS WEEKEND RIGHT, MUST HAVE BEEN FEELING PRETTY PUMPED FOR THAT?
Reading was amazing, probably one of the best shows we’ve ever done, same for leeds. Really really fun!

YOU START A HEADLINE TOUR IN SEPTEMBER, ANY MORE FESTIVALS BEFORE THEN?
We have Bestival and then it's tour O'Clock.  (Tour dates).

ANY NEWS OF AN ALBUM OR A NEW EP?
Nothing set in stone but we are writing loads at the mo so we’ll have to wait and see.

WHAT BANDS/ GIGS HAVE BEEN THE BEST YOU HAVE PLAYED?
Best gig was probably the legendary X-Mas show last December at the Rainbow warehouse in Birmingham. We played, Peace played, Swim Deep played, Superfood played. It was magical.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORE?

SO WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH CONNOR'S EYEBROWS? I HEARD THEY HAVE THEIR OWN TWITTER PAGE?
Yeah haha, I think they have 100 followers now, smashing it.

WHO'S YOUR FAVOURITE OLD SCHOOL FOOTBALLERS?
ALAN SHEARER x5

THE BIGGEST LIGHTWEIGHT? – I don’t drink so probably me
BEST FOOTBALLER?  Not Eddy

SWIM DEEP

Its everybody's favourite indie boy band from B.Town (Birmingham) these boys have come a long way in the past two years and are now hitting the big time.
The boys are regulars at our COW Vintage store in Digbeth and we are glad to see them absolutely smashing it. Playing a host of festival and tonnes of tour dates make sure you get along to hear their infectious indie tunes like 'King City' with their debut album coming out in less than a months time on the 5th Aug

So kick of your shoes and open your ears to the sun
kissed noise of our boys from Brum.

COW VINTAGE Spring/ Summer Campaign '13

Here at COW we have been super busy trying to jazz up our website, blogs, facebooks, instagrams, in stores and everything else visual. To do this we grabbed some babes, a load of clothes, shoes and accessories and went to an area in Salford in the freezing cold to take some photos of stuff we like!! I believe that's what they call in the fashion industry.. a "campaign".

Anyway here we have our selection of images you can expect to see knocking around online and maybe in stores.
